This blue cocktail has a refreshing and sweet-tart flavour that will quench any thirst.
The Blue Lagoon is a refreshing cocktail of vodka, curaçao, lemonade, and freshly squeezed lemon juice. A perfect drink for beach, poolside or dinner parties.
Ingredients
- 1 measures vodka
- 1 measure blue curaçao
- 4 measure lemonade (non-carbonated)
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- crushed ice
- lemon slice and cocktail umbrella to decorate
Directions
1. Put a cup of crushed ice in a cocktail shaker.
2. Add vodka, blue curaçao, lemon juice and lemonade to the shaker and shake well until cold.
3. Strain into a highball glass over crushed ice.
4. Garnish with a lemon slice and cocktail umbrella and serve with a straw.
Alternate Method
1. Pour the curaçao in a highball glass.
2. Followed by vodka and lemon juice.
3. Top up with lemonade.
4. Add crushed ice.
5. Garnish with a lemon slice and cocktail umbrella and serve.
Recipe Tips
- When selecting the vodka, opt for something mid to high range.
- If you wish the cocktail to be a bit strong use 2 measures of vodka and 3 measures of lemonade.
- For garnishing you can also use maraschino cherry instead of lemon slice or use both of them.
- Instead of Highball glass, You can also use Hurricane glass to serve Blue Lagoon cocktail.
